Crown Uzama (born April 12, 2000), well known by his stage name Shallipopi, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He rose to mainstream fame in 2023 following the release of his single “Elon Musk”, which peaked at number one on the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music. He followed up with his debut studio album Presido La Pluto (2023), which peaked at number one on the TurnTable Top 50 Albums and also peaked at number five on the Apple Music top 100 albums.
Career
Shallipopi started his career making freestyles, and posting them on TikTok and other social media platforms. He made a breakthrough with the release of his single “Elon Musk.
On 20 June 2023, Apple Music announced Shallipopi as the latest featured artist in its Up Next artist development program in Nigeria. On 30 June, he released the remix of “Elon Musk” featuring Fireboy DML and Zlatan.
On 7 July 2023, he released the single “Ex-Convict”, which debuted at number 6 on the TurnTable Top 100. On 11 July 2023 his EP Planet Pluto. On 17 October 2023, he launched his own record label after signing to Dvpper Music Distribution with his music acts Zerry DL and Tega Boi. Shallipopi signed them the day he launched the record label.

Shallipopi hails from the Eastern part of Nigeria, where he spent his formative years. Growing up, he was deeply influenced by the rich musical culture and traditions of his homeland.
